A Gentle First Check-In

Our screening pathway is designed to provide a clear, structured, and supportive first step in understanding whether ADHD may be present, and what the most appropriate next steps should be.

  • Abstract heart and check mark design

    Initial Registration and Triage

Once you contact AcuimetryADHD, you will complete a brief registration form outlining your concerns, background, and current needs. This information is reviewed by our clinical team to ensure you are directed to the most appropriate pathway, whether ADHD, ASD, or general mental health support.

  • Abstract heart and check mark design

    Clinical Screening Questionnaires

You will be invited to complete evidence-based screening tools, such as the ASRS and Weiss scales. These help identify patterns of attention, activity, impulse control, and functional impact across different areas of life. Where relevant, additional forms may be provided for parents, carers, or schools to ensure a multi-informant perspective.

  • Abstract heart and check mark design

    Clinical Review of Screening Information

A clinician will review your responses in detail, considering symptom patterns, developmental history, and the level of functional impairment. This step ensures that screening results are interpreted within the context of your individual experience, rather than in isolation.

  • Abstract heart and check mark design

    Screening Outcome and Recommendation

Following review, you will receive a clear outcome with one of the following recommendations:

    • Proceed to a full ADHD diagnostic assessment

    • Consider an alternative or additional assessment pathway (e.g., ASD or mental health review)

    • Signposting to appropriate support if ADHD is unlikely

  • Abstract heart and check mark design

    Next Steps and Guidance

We will explain your results in a clear and accessible way, ensuring you understand what they mean and what options are available. If a full assessment is recommended, we will guide you through the process and help you prepare for the next stage.

This pathway ensures that every individual receives the right level of assessment at the right time—avoiding unnecessary delays while maintaining clinical accuracy and high standards of care.
